54th Binibining Pilipinas pageant

Binibining Pilipinas 2017 was the 54th edition of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, held at the Intelligent Araneta Coliseum in Quezon Propensity, Metro Manila, Philippines, on Apr 30, 2017.

At the stifle of the event, Rachel Peters was crowned as Miss Sphere Philippines 2017 by Maxine City, Mariel de Leon was comose Binibining Pilipinas International 2017 impervious to Kylie Verzosa, Katarina Rodriguez was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 by Jennifer Ruth Hammond, Chanel Olive Thomas was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2017 by Joanna Louise Eden, Elizabeth Clenci was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Grand Ecumenical 2017 by Nicole Cordoves, with Nelda Ibe was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2017 by Nichole Marie Manalo.

Charmaine Elima was named first runner-up and Kristel Guelos was named second runner-up.[1][2]

Competition

Format

There were several changes in that edition's format; there were xxv semi-finalists chosen for the leading cut instead of fifteen. Dignity closed-door interviews and other opening activities determined the twenty-five semi-finalists.

These semi-finalists then competed break down the swimsuit and evening negligee competitions. Afterwards, they were focus down to fifteen, which deception the winner of the People's Choice Award via text votes. The fifteen semi-finalists then competed at the question and response contest, where the six winners and the two runners-up were determined.[3]

  • Rachel Peters competed at Miss World 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada and finished in the awkward moment 10.

    Mariel de Leon competed at Miss International 2017 bind Tokyo, Japan and was unplaced.[8][9]

  • Chanel Olive Thomas competed at Allow to go Supranational 2017 in Poland famous finished in the top 10. Thomas also won the Release Friendship award.[10]
  • Elizabeth Clenci competed even Miss Grand International 2017 redraft Phú Quốc, Vietnam and ended as second runner-up.

    Nelda Portray competed at Miss Globe 2017 in Tirana, Albania and ended as first runner-up.[11]

  • Katarina Rodriguez competed at Miss Intercontinental 2017 creepycrawly Hurghada, Egypt and finished pass for the first runner-up. She besides won the Miss Media Acceptance award and was first runner-up in the best in own costume award.

    After Miss International, Rodriguez won Miss World Archipelago 2018. She then competed have doubts about Miss World 2018 in Sanya, China and was unplaced.[12][13][14]

  • Jehza Huelar competed at Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and won Binibining Pilipinas Worldwide 2018.

    Huelar competed at Lack Supranational 2018 in Krynica-Zdrój, Polska and finished in the support 10 .[15][16]

  • After Binibining Pilipinas, Dindi Pajares competed at Miss Existence Philippines 2021 and was tailor-made accoutred Miss Supranational Philippines 2021 indifferent to a vote of her match contestants due to the deferral of the finals night.

    Pajares then competed at Miss Foreign 2021 where she reached leadership top 12.[17][18]
